Thursday & Friday -- 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

In 2004, New Hope Community Life Ministry opened a thrift store to provide clothing and small household items to the community at discount prices. Between 50 and 60 local volunteers work with manager Deb Riddell and her assistant Lisa Wisse to oversee the daily operation of the store.

We accept donations of good clothing for men, women and children. We also accept household goods, knickknacks, pictures, and small necessities of all sorts. All donations are received at the back door during regular store hours. Tax receipts can be provided as New Hope is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

The purpose of The Community Closet is to help stabilize the budget for the counseling ministry and to demonstrate God's love in a practical way to the Solanco community. Our mission is not only to sell clothes and other items at discount prices but also to offer direct assistance in the form of clothing for verified needs through the Community Action Program. New Hope donates a portion of the store's income to local ministries such as the Solanco Pastor's Fuel Fund, Solanco Food Bank and Samaritan Fund.

The Closet also helps to advertise the services offered at the counseling office. Literature is displayed on various counseling topics and current support groups for the community.
