Philosophy of Counseling

As a practicing counselor, Kathy strives to create a bastion of warmth and safety for all who seek healing. By offering hospitality, recognizing the face of God in others, acknowledging the darkness in life, acting in a congruent manner, unconditionally accepting people for who they are, and exercising empathy, it is her hope to answer God's call to build the Kingdom here on earth.

Personal

Over forty years ago, Kathy began her career as an educator. Now God has called her in another direction. Even though her days as a school teacher have ended, they have provided valuable experiences as a springboard for her current ministry as a counselor.

Kathy and her husband are the parents of a son and daughter, both young adults. They are now officially empty-nesters! The two of them reside in southern Lancaster County with their spoiled dog and a very content cat.
